History
The First Evangelical Church of Cerritos was started in 1988 as a church plant of the First Evangelical Church to minister to the needs of the community in the south Los Angeles and north Orange County region. Launching a Mandarin speaking and an English speaking congegations with a small group of families, FECC has experienced growth over the course of its ministry. Now encompassing five separate congregations of various language and life-stage emphasis, as well as seeing an increase of influence within the local community, FECC continues its mission to glorify God through the ministry of the Gospel to families of all backgrounds. In 2012, First Evangelical Church of Cerritos voted to extend out into the Fullerton area with a campus plant and amended its name to read First Evangelical Community Church as part of the multi-site expansion. In July, 2014, a third campus was established in Oakland County of Michigan.
